1. Scope and acceptance
These terms govern your use of the public Aven website, including its documentation, illustrations, reference files, and browser interface. By using the website, you agree to use those materials in accordance with these terms and applicable law.
The public site describes a project in private beta. It does not itself offer a paid subscription, create an account, or establish a commercial service agreement. Access to any separate managed service requires its own applicable agreement.
2. Using the documentation
You may read the documentation, inspect public reference files, and adapt technical examples for your own lawful projects. Evaluate examples for your environment before using them. Examples marked Demonstration describe proposed interfaces and do not establish that a live endpoint, issued credential, or compatible service exists.
Do not send real passwords, access tokens, private data, or production traffic to reserved example domains or illustrative endpoints. Replace example hostnames and values only when you are working with a service you are authorized to use.
3. Private beta and interface confirmations
Product direction and availability may change during private beta. Managed storage, image processing, developer APIs, and account management are not provisioned by the public website. A request acknowledgement does not guarantee an invitation, a response, capacity, or a delivery date.
The public sign-in and access-request interfaces run in the browser. They do not authenticate users, establish protected sessions, deliver applications, or authorize use of another service. Documentation and public resources remain available independently of those interfaces.
4. Acceptable use
Use the website responsibly. You must not attempt to disrupt its availability, exploit vulnerabilities, access non-public systems without permission, distribute malicious material through it, impersonate another person, or use the content to infringe another party’s rights.
Ordinary browsing, downloading public reference materials, and inspecting documented HTTP behavior are permitted. No permission to scan or access unrelated infrastructure is granted by these terms.
5. Content and licenses
The website’s branding, written material, original artwork, and interface remain subject to their applicable intellectual-property rights. Viewing the site does not grant a right to represent yourself as the project or to redistribute its branding as your own.
Open-source components and fonts remain governed by their own licenses. The Bricolage Grotesque font is distributed under the SIL Open Font License, included with the site. Technical snippets may be adapted as described above; separately licensed files retain their stated license.
6. Availability and accuracy
The public website and reference content are provided on an “as available” basis. The project may update, move, or remove content and may interrupt availability for maintenance or operational reasons. No uptime, performance, capacity, coverage, or release-date guarantee is made by this public site.
Reasonable care is taken in preparing the material, but documentation may contain errors or become outdated. Verify information that is important to a production deployment.
7. Responsibility and mandatory rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on illustrative examples, service interruptions, or third-party resources outside its control. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility or limits rights where applicable law does not permit that exclusion or limitation.
8. External resources and privacy
Links to other websites are provided for reference. Their content, availability, and terms are controlled by their operators. Information handling on this public site is explained in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes and interpretation
These terms may be revised as the project develops. The current text and review date will remain available on this page. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law. Applicable mandatory local law takes precedence where required.
