The practical things / 01

A little clarity
about your privacy.

How information is handled on this public website, from the first page you open to the forms you interact with.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the public Aven website at the hostname you are visiting. Aven is the project name used on these pages. The policy covers public content, locally hosted resources, and interactions with the website’s forms. An external application or contact service, if linked, operates under its own policy.

2. Information needed to deliver a page

When your browser connects, the web server necessarily processes technical connection information, including your network address, the requested resource, and protocol information, to return a response. This is ordinary network processing needed to deliver the site.

The managed access-log configuration deliberately excludes request URLs and query strings, request and response headers, authorization values, cookies, and client addresses. Limited operational metadata may be retained to diagnose delivery errors. Logs are bounded and rotated according to the deployment configuration. Other network providers may process connection data under their own policies.

3. Sign-in and access-request fields

Information typed into the public forms is processed in the current browser page. Passwords, email addresses, names, project details, and messages are not transmitted to an application service or written to a database by this installation.

The sign-in form does not create an account or session. Its credential values are cleared after an attempt. The access-request confirmation is a browser interface acknowledgement; it does not deliver an application to an operator or establish a beta invitation. Leaving the page clears the form values. No personal form data is written to cookies, local storage, or session storage.

4. Cookies and browser caching

This website does not set application cookies or use advertising identifiers. It does not include analytics, session recording, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting scripts. Your browser may cache public files using normal HTTP cache controls. Cached public resources contain the same content made available to other visitors.

5. Fonts, artwork, and external links

Fonts, illustrations, scripts, and stylesheets are served locally with the website. Loading these resources does not require a request to a third-party font host, image service, analytics provider, or content-delivery service.

If you choose to follow an external link, that destination may receive connection and browser information under its own practices. The site uses a restrictive referrer policy to limit information sent through navigation.

6. Security and sensitive information

The production web configuration supports HTTPS and limits the kinds of content the browser may load. These measures reduce exposure but do not turn a static form into an account service. Do not enter production API tokens, private files, financial information, or other confidential material into documentation examples.

7. Retention and your choices

There is no personal application database or profile history on this public installation. You can leave the website, close the page, or clear your browser cache through your browser controls. Requests about infrastructure processing relate to the operator of the specific hostname you visited; identify that hostname and the date of your visit, and avoid including credentials.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may change when the public site or its data handling changes. The updated version will be published here with a revised date. Introducing a real account, application-submission, analytics, or storage service requires an updated policy reflecting that service’s actual processing.
